My version of nut butter is very simple. You can add oil, more salt and sugar if you desire but I make my nut butter with just one ingredient: NUTS Here is the process I use to make my Almond Butter. 1/2 of a 14 oz bag of Blue Diamond Almonds. Food Processor that has a pulse button. This will yield approximately 7 oz of nut butter. Please refrigerate after processing for longer shelf life. img_1581 Directions: Insert the metal blade into the food processor. img_1582 Place 1/2 bag of almonds into the food processor. img_1583 Lock the lid in place and start pulsing to break the almonds into chunks. img_1584img_1585 Once nuts are in small pieces, press the on button on the food processor until you get the consistency you desire. If you wish to add sugar add it now. img_1586 Since I love creamy nut butter it took 3 minutes and 10 seconds to reach this creamy consistency. If you wish to add oil and more salt. Stop the food processor and add those ingredients now. Blend until you reach the consistency you desire. img_1602 Enjoy!
